Competition
The Fifth Annual Western NC BBQ Festival “Smokin’ in the Valley” is a KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) sanctioned event and will adhere to those guidelines. KCBS representatives will be onsite.

Judges positions will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

You must submit an application to be eligible.
Number of judges
This will be based on the number of teams that sign up for the festival. Once the committee has a feel of the number of teams that will be participating, we will notify all judges with a confirmation letter.
